Sibling Love

These pictures deserve their own post.  I love these moments.  I wish they happened more often!

End of 2nd Grade

Well, I've missed a whole school year!  Lucas had a great 2nd grade year with Mrs. Dykstra.  He continues to love school.  He's a great reader and a fast finisher.  He'll tell you the roughest thing for him is handwriting!  He made lots of new, good friends.  For at least half the year, he was a four-square king.  In first grade, he ate a peanut butter sandwich.  In second grade, he ate a turkey sandwich everyday!  Some of his favorite books this year were Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Castle in the Attic, and The Boxcar Children.

Lucas played soccer this year and began Tae Kwon Do lessons with Master Grosso.
Can't believe Lucas will be in 3rd grade!!!  We're proud of him for being such a wonderful student and the growth he has made this year!

First Day of School

Lucas started 2nd grade this year!  His teacher is Mrs. Dykstra.  He was nervous to start at a new school, but he was still excited to get back to school.  He spent the first week or two playing with one or two kids, or playing by himself at recess.  Then he got to know everyone, and now he is one of the "popular" kids, according to him.  :-)  He is such a great reader and really good at math too.  He is a fast finisher and comes home with lots of drawings on the back of his papers.  He loves to be at school and often says that he wishes he could go to school over the weekend too!  He gets a green card for behavior almost every single day.  Now they have added blue cards (which are even better than green), and he frequently gets a blue!  We are so proud of him for being an awesome student.
The school is close enough to walk or ride scooters.  We're glad he loves it!

Kaitlin's 4th Birthday

Our sweet princess turned 4 on September 24th.  She wanted to have a "hotel birthday," so we stayed at the Castle Inn near Disneyland for a night.  We swam in the pool, ate at Denny's, opened presents, and woke up early to spend the day at Disneyland.

Denny's birthday dinner

Kaitlin loves blue, dresses, braids, and anything girly!  This pink dress was her favorite.  She wore it until it fell to pieces.
She picked Ariel decorations.
She loved her celebration and having all of our attention.
Her new princess Thermos.
She also got a mermaid costume and some little princess dolls.
California Adventure!
Kaitlin got a birthday button, and all of the workers said, "Happy Birthday, Princess!"
She picked out a Merida doll.
We celebrated all of the September birthdays at Grandma Claire's house, where she had planned lots of fun activities.  We each made our own little pizzas.

We raced to see who could diaper a baby the fastest.  Adults were only allowed to use one hand.  It came down to Kameron and Emily!
Lincoln enjoyed hugging and kissing Big Foot.  Sadly, Big Foot has since been stolen!
Girls vs. Boys Pictionary
Kisses!

Kaitlin really wanted an "Ariel doll with a tail."  Lucky for her, Nana, Nate, and Joshie found one for her!
More presents!  We celebrated Kaitlin turning 4 many different days!  These are from her actual birthday.

"Underwear!!"
Power Rangers Jungle Fury!
The grand finale-a dollhouse!  Now she just needs someone to play dollhouse with her all day, every day!  Lucas even took a turn playing with his Legos in the house.

Can't believe our girl is 4!  She is growing way too fast.  I asked her if she could just stay 4, and she said, "But if I don't have another birthday...then I will...die!"  So, I agreed she could continue to grow up.  :-)
Grandma Diane, Grandpa Biasi, and Leo bought Kaitlin a princess picnic table!
With her birthday money from Grandma Teri, she picked out some Moon Dough.
Kaitlin is the sweetest sister.  She always helps take care of her brothers.  She is such a happy girl!  She is my little buddy, always helping with errands and chores without complaint.  She is a great eater.  She loves her "vengt-ables" and will eat anything I make for dinner.  Although, she'd love to eat candy and treats all day long.  Her favorite things to play are dollhouse, family, and kitchen.  We love and adore our Katie Pie!
